On Saturday 28th July Pat da Kat is back bringing the Hollywood Boogie experience to Pett’s Wood. Da Kat is running the Swing and R&B room at WestCo’s Swing Summer Picnic and Social Dance at Pett’s Wood Memorial Hall and Gardens. WestCo is run by Pauline Dickson who our regulars will know was instrumental in setting up Hollywood Boogie at The Royston.
The evening features 2 halls with different styles of music and you are free to move between the two so if you fancy a break from the Lindyhop, Swing, Balboa and vintage Jive you can head off for some West Coast Swing or Modern Jive to swing, blues, soul and funk,
Evening starts at 7pm but you can turn up earlier and bring your own picnic and drinks to enjoy the gardens. Free tea, coffee and squash
The music will be turned down slightly around midnight but will continue for another half an hour after that.
