It’s coming up to the second Friday of the month so that means it’s time for Rum n GoGo!
Last month’s Northern Soul dance class with Sharon Sullivan was well received so this Friday 8th April we have another class but this time with Angela Stewart Armstrong. Angela says she will be revisiting the steps from last month ensuring you have the correct styling and adding that little foot “twizzle” that is essential to most Northern Soul dancing. So if you were at last month’s lesson this will be a great opportunity to practice what you learnt. If you missed last month this is your chance to catch up.
Northern Soul dance steps don’t lend themselves to high heels so flat shoes are recommended for the class.

The class will begin at 7.45pm sharp and cost of the class is just £8 which includes entry to the club night after.
After the class the night will run as usual with the usual mix of Northern Soul, Motown, classic 70’s and 80’s soul, ska, reggae …. basically if it’s good, we play it.

You can even come straight from work as after 9pm Ruby’s Caterers will be present again selling hot food, chicken and rice at ridiculously cheap prices. Add to that the cheap social club bar prices (because the Royston is part of the Penge and District Trade Union and Social Club), the easy free parking and the sprung wooden dance floor and you have all the ingredients for a great night.
If you don’t need the class and come after 9pm the cost is just £5.
