The Down For The Count Swing Orchestra will be appearing at Hollywood Boogie at The Royston in South London on the first Saturday of 2016.
In their own words “The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra bring the sounds of the Swing Era back to life, performing tailor-made arrangements of big band classics that remain faithful to the original recordings and showcase the talented instrumentalists and vocalists in the band.
Drawing on inspiration from the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman amongst others, the huge repertoire list is varied, authentic and full of joy from the first song to the last. ”
They were a great hit last time they played for us at The Royston so this will be the perfect excuse to dance off the excesses of the holiday season.
